Time flies when you’re having fun! BA Live 0.90.96 is ready.
Several improvements:
Toolbar! Finally. I don’t know about you, but I’ve really missed not having it in Live. It’s so convenient for adjusting the volume and/or bypassing. The bypass function bypasses only Breakaway dynamics processing, not speaker equalization, so you still get the benefit of EQ even when listening to pre-processed content such as streams. The toolbar supports transparency (for Windows Aero) and supports XP 32-bit, and Vista/Windows 7 32/64-bit.
The long-standing standby/hibernation crash bug is FIXED. When you hibernate your computer, Breakaway Live now gracefully shuts down the audio engine, and comes back when you turn your computer back on. Breakaway Live is finally viable on both the desktops and notebooks of audio professionals!
Also new: Motor City preset by Jesse G.
It’s starting to feel like it’s time to update the main download page. What do you think?

you have to build before v1.0 !If you keep this beta releasing rate (one beta every day)

I’m hoping so. I’d love to be able to keep up-to-date with the current version, but I’m still on v0.90.82 (which has never frozen), as the newer versions would randomly freeze, for some unknown reason. I’m not 100% confident v0.90.96 will work properly on this PC, but I’ll give it a go and see if it lasts a few days without the audio freezing.Cheers
April 11, 2010 at 5:35 pm #10415AnonymousGuestAwesome 😛 . I’ve been waiting for this to purchase. Do you guys support any kind of upgrade pricing from the personal version?

April 11, 2010 at 10:19 pm #10417lpy7MemberBeen running v0.90.96 for a couple of days now and it’s all good. Woohoo, I can keep up with the latest version again.
I think it might be time to update the download page.

I’d be very interested in any discount!!April 12, 2010 at 3:35 am #10419AnonymousGuestGreat news about the discount. I’ve been running the taskbar in Live and have one suggestion. Running it in the shortest possible taskbar with meters enabled, the peak indicators kind of obscure the action of the input meters. Can you make them one pixel high or remove them entirely? I’m running 1440x 900 resolution and the indicators are 3 pixels high plus a 1 pixel gap, I actually see more activity on the output meters than the inputs due to the effect of the excessively high peak indicators.
Still, I love it!
StuartApril 12, 2010 at 12:29 pm #10420AnonymousGuestThanks for the new version. Hadn’t noticed that there was a new version already. Thanks very much for the option to use older presets….I discovered "Amsterdam". Wow, maybe too much for a lot people but it sure is a great preset.

How do we enable older presets?
Is it just adding: "include_obsolete_presets=1" into the breakawaylive.iniApril 21, 2010 at 3:36 pm #10422LeifKeymaster
How do we enable older presets? Is it just adding: "include_obsolete_presets=1" into the breakawaylive.ini
Almost!
In the [Master] section add ObsoletePresets=1

April 23, 2010 at 3:20 am #10423lpy7MemberHey Leif, version .90.96 is officially stable on my machine 🙂
Been running non-stop since you released it and no glitches or freezes. Not sure what happened with a couple of previous versions I tried, but this one certainly passes the test. Nice job.
April 28, 2010 at 10:08 am #10424MwyannParticipantI’m interested by a discount for upgrading Breakaway Audio Enhancer to Breakaway Live too, if you know when you’ll do it… ?
April 29, 2010 at 4:45 am #10425LeifKeymasterMwyann,
Please mail broadcast at claessonedwards dot com and ask for the $15 loyalty discount for BAE customers buying Live. It’s not an upgrade, you get to keep both. 🙂.

May 18, 2010 at 2:29 am #10426AnonymousGuestAnyone experienced a bug with XP and the Live toolbar where the volume slider fails to load? I’m getting this from time to time.
