Hi,
Hello to all..
I’m about to do some testing in a station using either the bundle (including live) or the ASIO version.
Latency to the TX output is not critical but I will require the presenter/DJ to have a post processor feed that will have minimum delay. I know the ASIO version gives you the ‘Studio Monitor’ output which should achieve this but I wondering if I will get lower delay with the live bundle. Is there any other pros/cons for/against either option that might help me decide? Is anyone else using either setup like this?
I will be using an M Audio delta 44 sound card. This will take an input from the studios and will output to the presenter/DJ and the external stereo encoder.
Budget is very tight on this but if it works out well I might go for a Marian Trace 8 in the future.
I’m using an AMD 3.6 Dual core with 2gigs of RAM on XP.Thanks
AntSeptember 15, 2010 at 3:30 pm #11408AnonymousGuestHi all,
Not trying to bump but need some additional info. Is BBP ASIO compatible with windows 7 home 32bit?
To ASIO or not to ASIO is still confusing me…Thanks
AntSeptember 16, 2010 at 1:56 am #11409JesseGMemberHave you not tried it yet?
September 16, 2010 at 1:14 pm #11410AnonymousGuestOh I’ve tried it a lot. Passive aggressor included
I’m building a new machine for it and it’s under a budget for now, so I can’t try it on the new machine until I buy it. And to buy it I want to be sure that I get the right bits/software.
At the moment 7 home 32bit seems to be the best value for the OS. So I’m just making sure that there is no known problems with using any of the Breakaway products with that OS.
As regards the ASIO/bundle option I was just looking for opinions from people who might have gone down the same road before. I fully intend to test myself but time is limited until I have to get this up and running. Thanks
AntSeptember 16, 2010 at 1:49 pm #11411AnonymousGuestPassive Aggressor??
I seem to have missed the download link for the version that includes this!

Just sarcasm, I guess.
Ant422, it should work on any stock Windows version (with an audio subsystem) between Windows 2000, and Windows 7, and the installer is aware if it’s 32bit or 64bit and installs the correct versions of everything.
Reason I mention audio subsystem is because some versions of Windows don’t come with one, like Datacenter editions for instance. 8) You should be just fine.
September 16, 2010 at 7:08 pm #11413AnonymousGuestThat’s great. thanks for the info.
Well I didn’t actually try passive aggressor but I did listen to the taster a few times. Sounds fantastic…Now to get on with the build 😀
September 16, 2010 at 9:51 pm #11414michi95MemberI have a new hobby:
I’m counting suspicious posts in this forum.
Obvious not every ordinary member here receives the great honor to be punish… ehh…reviewed and edited by Jesse for the severe crime of begging.Sorry, Jesse but it is not my fault.
It’s Leif’s fault !
Remember the Happy Easter Conspiracy !
Here is the proof:

viewtopic.php?p=6887#p6887
History is on my side !And who needs a Passive Aggressor in two or three months, when the war will already be over ?
It is never a good idea to hide a superior weapon (and not use it) for too long (until the day comes when it is no longer superior).
Who knows what tomorrow brings ?
Leif is in my trap.
He won’t do it again (a quick build).
But maybe this is what I am really looking for (to hold up Passive Aggressor as long as possible) ? 8) 😀@ All
Stop begging.
Start praying.But seriously:
Forget about this whole conspiracy nonsense !
The answer is:
Leif is busy (with other more important things to do).
And that’s it !September 17, 2010 at 2:35 am #11415JesseGMemberLeif is insanely busy.
I can leak one tidbit of information though; there won’t be any more builds at all from the old codebase, quick or otherwise. Forward is the correct direction. 8)
