Hi,
We are streaming using StationPlaylist, Livelink and BBP.
We’ve had all kinds of instability problems using Edcast as an encoder out of Breakaway and had to revert back to using Oddcast, which comes pre-installed in the DSP chain of StationPlaylist. Oddly enough StationPlaylist isn’t able to load the edcast dll. Has anyone succeeded in loading Edcast directly out of SPL following the livelink plugin?
Also, since I know some of you were involved in Edcast’s development, could anyone explain to me what are the main differences between Oddcast and Edcast and why Edcast’s stream seems to be "louder" (also when using the same lame dll). The difference is quite obvious when comparing waveforms.

I successfully run SPL with Breakaway and Livelink on a dedicated server. Station Playlist uses a custom version of Edcast so there might be some incompatibility. Although I do seem to recall running other versions of Edcast with previous versions of SPL. You might try re-installing SPL so it reinstalls it’s own version of the Edcast files.
