MemberWhen the "hardware" box comes out, you will be able to have total control of the processing.

If you’re new here, then there’s probably a lot of topics you haven’t read yet. 😉There will eventually be a box available for purchasing. Other than that it has full control of everything, and also has the optimized "over-unity" MPX clipper backend, I can’t say anything else about it yet.

ParticipantI’m not that new to Breakaway, weve been using for a year for FM broadcasting, but I’m new to this forum that’s right. We were looking for some hardware processing, and if Breakaway does it with advanced configuration, that would be amazingly great ! 🙂

The reason i put "hardware" in quotes is because any digital processor out there is actually software. People may try to confuse and dis one or another method of getting things done, but when it comes down to it… it’s just code that’s processing the audio signal however the code was designed.Actually when you get down to it… centralized CPU processing has way less in the way of stopping developers from doing what they want, which is why even DSP designs are moving to a centralized & modular setup. It’s just way more flexible.
And yeah, the Breakaway box is going to just smash the other guys out there now… It’s such a complete set of tools for talented processing engineers to hone in on their perfect sound. Even without the MPX clipping backend it’s over 150 controls.

MemberThanks Jesse, as always!
Anxious wait this time, you know that the better I feel more control for customizing the sound. 😉February 7, 2010 at 3:33 pm #9850JesseG
MemberGood to see you over here GAP. Always liked your presets for SS2, despite the flaws of the processing itself. 8)
