I already use Edcast in mp3 and aac+ for streaming (I have SAM).
I also want to add Windows Media, but the Mp3 streaming guide " Recommended encoder and processing setting" dont talk about it at all…so I want to know: is possible do it? and if yes how?
    Thanks

Sure, just hook up windows media encoder with a pipeline.

Sure, choose Breakaway Pipeline 2 as the output device in Breakaway, and then choose Breakaway Pipeline 2 as the sound card to record from in WM Encoder.

Also with Breakaway live ASIO ?

I cannot select a pipeline as second output in breakaway live ASIO.
Maybe i have too re-install it

BBP ASIO supports only ASIO sound cards, for real-time low latency use. Pipelines are not supported, other than for the RDS input.

If you need to encode WMA directly from BBP ASIO you will have to use a Winamp DSP encoder plug-in (i believe Spacial Audio’s encoder supports WMA but can’t swear on it), but really, it’s better to use BBP or BA Live for streaming. BBP ASIO was never designed for streaming.

Spacial’s encoder did support it. http://www.spacialaudio.com/?page=winamp-plugins But it hasn’t been updated in quite a few years. I’m not sure if it does support WMA 10 Pro or not. But I would think you would want that, cos WMA 10 Pro is such a massive jump in audio quality at low bitrates. 🙂

I don’t know or I didn’t understand the advantages of WMA10 codec on streams from 128k-192k
but I see that many internet radio players (stand alone as Roku Soundbridge) isn’t compatible with this… 😕

By low bitrate I’m talking 64kbps and under. But I’ve never tested where the improviments really start kicking in at. I do know that by the time you get to 32kbps it’s a HUGE difference.
