    Hello, Leif!
Sorry for my english. Big thanks for Your software! Very much it is pleasant to me Breakaway Broadcast. But I cannot adjust, that Breakaway Broadcast simulated a sound of my favourite radio station. If You will have time, PLEASE, help me to receive such sound. Many thanks! I send an example.[attachment=0:2omtf8qg]Radio.mp3[/attachment:2omtf8qg]

🙂 Many thanks to you! I very much wish to receive such sound, as in an example – pure, qualitative, sparkling, pleasant on the hearing which has been not deformed by basses……..

"pure" and "pleasant" are not words I would use to describe what you uploaded, but I’ll have a try with one of the already included presets in a bit. Not sure why you would want to sound this bad tho. 🙂

    50uS emphasis was applied & un-applied. 😛 16kHz low-pass.

This is completely lossless, taken from the album’s CD (EAC Secure), I don’t have the 12" single of this track which is where the track on your uploaded sample comes from. So it won’t sound completely the same of course, but if you played that through Breakaway with these settings I think you’ll find that it’s both cleaner and louder on air. That’s what I’m already hearing now despite the difference in mixes.

You probably don’t need to hit the clippers as hard to keep up with this other station, so back off the final drive if you’re losing clarity but are louder (you’ll be louder 😉 ). You’ll lose a bit of density (which will sound good imho) and you’ll gain a bit more bass punch.

    Oh, and here’s the file:

Jesse, his original uploaded clip was the 7" radio version! I’ve never heard the version you uploaded before.

Alexey, I need more information. Which country are you in? Is this an FM station or web radio? How did you record it exactly — I need to know the signal chain.

Without knowing the signal chain I have no chance to set up the same signal chain, and then I couldn’t do A/B switching and start matching the sound.

JesseG big to You thanks for presets! 🙂 Leif thanks for the answer! 🙂 This is FM radio station from Latvia. I have record a sound from this source: http://www.radioskonto.lv/stereo.asx

    Hi Alexey!

If you recorded it from that source, that’s web radio, not FM radio. For web radio, you can use BBP with 15us pre-emphasis for the best sound. For a dense sound like I heard in the clip, you could try just turning up Speed control on almost any preset.

You’re right Alexey, but I think Leif asked that on a technical point-of-view, not on a "main source" p.o.v 🙂

And he sort of answered his own question. That clip WAS recorded from that WIndows Media stream. Not off-air. 😉

Getting a sound like that (which imho again is way too compressed) is easy on DAB/streaming. Not so easy to do on FM, which is what my sample was of.

And yeah, that’s the regular original album version. I actually like the radio mix better too, just have never had it in hand.
