ParticipantHello Leif do you think to add some presets from BBP to enhancer. I know that it’s not the some sound, but something close.

KeymasterHi Kreso!
Yes, I will add Plutonium next time because of its overwhelming popularity.

KeymasterWe’re going to try to keep BAE as simple as possible. It would be a nightmare to try to explain all those different presets to people who aren’t broadcasters. Heck, it’s hard enough to explain them to people who ARE. 😉

GuestPlease keep Magnifying Glass and Perfect Blend. I’m not a broadcaster and these are the presets I use most.

KeymasterNot removing any presets at all, Nick! I only meant I’m not going to bring over all the BBP presets 🙂.
Maybe I should get rid of Radio Magic though.. Would just be confusing to keep it once there’s an "FM-mode", and radio magic was always tuned to be a smashed, bad-sounding preset.
Best,

GuestHi there,
I just got Breakaway tonight and I’ve been playing with it. I started with Breakaway Live, because it seemed to be the newest product — but it kept stuttering on my computer. So I uninstalled it, rebooted, and installed Audio Enhancer. I’m kind of bummed out because the BAE doesn’t have the Final Boost and all the extra presets. Also, the meters don’t seem as detailed, they are missing the peaks in the inputs that Breakaway Live had.
I’m sure you’re working on Breakaway Live, but are there plans to bring some of the new features over to Audio Enhancer?
I guess I could go back to Breakaway Live and try playing with it to get rid of the stuttering….

KeymasterHi Fabrini!
Breakaway Audio Enhancer is aimed at people who have no interest in all the extra features of Breakaway Live, so I’m trying to keep it as simple as possible.
Breakaway Live definitely shouldn’t stutter! Check the buffering settings. Increase the number of samples per buffer, as well as the number of buffers, in the i/o settings window. You can change this for both input and output. Make sure to test your settings inside the i/o settings.
