I listen to a lot of talk radio. Some streaming and some downloaded as MP3s. What I’m looking for is something that will level out the volume so that commercials don’t come on and scare me because they are so loud. I’d like things to just be at a fairly even volume. Is that something I can accomplish with your software? For both streaming and downloaded content?
Yes – this is exactly what Breakaway does best! Anything you play on your computer will come out at an even level, whether it’s streamed or downloaded, without annoyingly loud surprises.
Worse! Too much of a good thing ain’t good. The same thing will happen if you listen to a stream processed with any processor regardless of brand, and run it through another processor. That’s why there’s a very convenient bypass button. 🙂
I figured as much; my stream sounds great to me just listening without the enhancer. It’s hard to improve on perfection, Leif, and advisable not to try. 😀
Too much of a good thing is still too much. The same thing happens no matter which processor was used in the broadcast. Applying broadcast processing yet again tends to push things over the top.
This is, incidentally, why the Bypass button is so easy to access 🙂. Nothing wrong with bypassing while listening to a stream, I do it all the time.
Sorry, didn’t mean to post that twice. There was some problem with the webhost, the post kept disappearing — I actually had to write it three times. Or, so I thought. Turns out I really only had to write it twice for it to appear once. 🙂
