Hey folks… In the past few weeks, i've noticed some audio glitching in my mp3 stream. My aac+ stream is clean. I am running on Windows server 2016 with i7 4th gen 16gb ram. Been running super smooth for a few years. I saw a post on Facebook about some windows updates that have messed up SRC and it was recommended to update to latest VAC version. I was using the 4.15c version of Breakaway Pipeline. I upgraded to the VAC 4.6.4 (latest) and it hasn't helped so I switched back to pipelines. I haven't changed anything else. I'm running KS input 44100 at 24-bit (again, been running clean for years like this). I tried updating to the latest 3.100 LAME encoder, again, no difference, so switched back. (by the way, the lame.exe in the main breakaway one folder is not the one the built-in mp3 encoder uses as I've had to use custom to use that lame.exe. I completely deleted lame.exe from that folder and the built-in mp3 encoder still launches and runs, but I digress…)
I saw a comment on that FB post that said Leif might be releasing an updated Pipeline version to address those windows SRC issues. On Server2016, I don't know if those same issues are impactful.
Either way, I'd be glad of some ideas I could look at to get this mp3 stream cleaned up. I'm not looking for advice on using something besides MP3, as I know those comments come aplenty…
Thank you!
