    Hi Folks,

    Apologies if this is not 100% related to Breakaway…
    I’m looking for a scale / converter / formula that will convert Normalization (%) to dB.
    For example:

    100% Normalized = 0dB
    95% Normalized = -0.45dB

    I’m assuming the relationship between the 2 when plotting 3 or more points gives you some sort of exponential curve…
    Adobe Audition 3 can prob give me an answer to this, but can someone point me in the right direction where I can get a scale / converter / formula? 🙂

    Thanks,
    Conor

    Sure. 🙂

    dB to Percentage:

    100*pow(10,dB/20.0)

    Percentage to dB:
    20*log10(percentage / 100.0)

    Best,
    ///Leif
