I own two licenses for Breakaway (Audio Enhancer and Live), and now of course the update to One. I use the processor basically for home listening of music and movies. After an OS reinstall (Windows 10 Enterprise, latest version, 64 bits) I find myself in the following situation:
(a) Breakaway Live (my preferred version) installs without errors but won't open no matter what I do. I tried everything: running as administrator, using compatibility mode, etc., but the interface won't run and no message is issued.
(b) Breakaway Audio Enhancer refuses to install with a message that I have a debugger running. I have no idea what that could be.
(c) Breakaway One is too convoluted and heavy on resources to be of practical use. The interface is, quite frankly, horrible, and the instructions are useless for non-initiates. I managed to have it running after about one hour, but I can't even find where to adjust the output volume. My questions are:
1. Are the Live and/or Audio Enhancer versions compatible at all with the latest version of Windows 10? If so, what could be the problem?
2. If they are not and I really have to live with BOne, is there a way to at least have it show a simple and practical interface like the previous incarnations? Basically, what I need is a way to choose presets/bypass the processor/control the volume in the same window. Is that at all possible? And, by the way, where do I control the listening volume?January 26, 2019 at 9:50 pm #15141MilkyKeymasterThere is certainly no problem running any Breakaway products on Windows 10 that I am aware of. I have BA1 running without a whimper, but I don't have the other products. I will refer it to one of the development team for more answers.

About Breakaway Audio Enhancer, I have ran into the issue with it not starting due to a debugger. If you turn off your antivirus, it should run.
To turn down the output volume of BreakawayOne, go to Misc, I/O, Output. That's where the output volume control is.

[/quote]But I don't think that controls levels into the encoder(s). That may just be a master output (speakers/asio). I don't know for sure but I've spoken at length with Leif and Jesse about the streaming output levels. They're just hard-coded.

Listening volume, not streaming volume, so nick_ca is correct.
