    Hi,

I have set this up for PC to Output to receiver. But i just now understood that the software is first down mixing incoming audio to stereo? As only the output can be set to 6-channels. My receiver is detecting the signal as Multi Channel PCM, but in reality receiving only 2 channel sound?

What is best practice here? Should i just set it to output to two channels and let me receiver do regular Dolby Surround up-mixing? (will still not be true 5.1)

My goal with buying this was to apply Dynamic Range Control & Dynamic Volume control to all audio coming form the HTPC.

Happy to hear any advice. I previously had a Receiver capable of Aydyssey Dynamic Volume, which was great, but my new setup does not have that.

You are correct about it only being stereo. It will process Dolby Pro Logic just fine yes, since that is only using stereo channels. It will not do anything to alter the stereo/surround spaciousness, so any position information that can normally be extracted from Pro Logic will remain intact.
