Album info in Metadata

In the US, it's now required to include Album info in your metadata. Aside from the manual labor aspect of adding that information, what kind of capabilities does the Encoder option have to use that information? At this point, it's simple enough to tell my automation to include that detail by changing a setting. What it does, though, is add it to the Title tag. For example: Artist: "Garth Brooks" Title: "The River – Ropin' The Wind". That may be all that is possible if encoders and players don't have a facility for a separate Album tag. I'm just curious how this will all work out.
