It is not loud for FM big radios.
check the dbr ratings.
loud for fm can be even 10 , or 11 dbr ( on 75 khz )
this preset is not loud for fm
stereotool can make more dbr
December 27, 2016 at 3:51 pm #14747LeifKeymasterI want to see a 15 dBr preset from you, Camclone! All square-wave all the time! Come on, you can do it!
December 27, 2016 at 8:13 pm #14748AnonymousGuesti'm going to make it more loud for FM. i was editing it accidentaly using HD Processor. i'm going to edit the files directly thought Notepad++ to make it more loud without destroying the Treble. sorry guy's i'm newer with that processor. i was working with Stereo Tool for long time. so clippers work a little different here.
December 27, 2016 at 8:34 pm #14749AnonymousGuestHere more loud preset for FM. its 8.2dbr max.
i'm sorry if it won't make 12dbr. if leif make a Composite Clipping definitely it can reach 10 or more dBr in the FM MPX signal.
loudness is not my area. i like BBO beacause it generates a very punch effect in the bass. and that's what Orban Optimod do. but without the crazy horrible distorced highs of the optimod.
they fixed that in the 8500 > 8700 series.December 28, 2016 at 8:47 pm #14750JesseGMember
It is not loud for FM big radios.

dBr is not a measure of loudness. There are very accurate measures of loudness (objective closely matching subjective) like ITU-R B.S.1770.
Anyways… loud-just-to-be-loud processing drives away listeners.
December 29, 2016 at 12:34 am #14751LeifKeymasterBreakawayOne does have composite clipping. You can tell my looking at the MPX output waveform on the oscilloscope, with oversampling enabled. You don't get that razor-sharp edge without composite clipping, especially not with RDS enabled. 🙂
Best,
Oh awesome leif. i always noticed that the mod meter goes 110 and i loved the new challenger enhancer. for me breakaway one is here to make FM sound clean and loud. but loudness have limits and people said around in the forum of the Stereo Tool that the clipper of the BreakawayOne is dirt and distorced at 15dbr. for me the clipper is good enough. and 9dbr is loud enough for me.
Hot News! The local station of my city now uses BreakawayOne. and they loved the sound of the preset LEIFF. they buy the BBO and i installed the software in a i7 rig with ESI JULI@. the strange thing is that the RDS of the station is now more powerfull with Breakaway One than earlier Orban Optimod 8200.
