After running AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes Junkware Removal Tool, they detected files in the following directories,
"C:\ProgramData\mntemp"
"C:\ProgramData\Application Data\mntemp".
The files kept returning after being deleted, so I did a little digging, and discovered that they are created every time I start BAE. I checked with the AdwCleaner forum to see if it may be a false positive, and they informed me that those files are normally associated with some malware called "Search Protect". I've run more scans with Kaspersky and MBAM, and the results come up clean, but the files continue to show up in AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal Tool. I don't see any other signs of "Search Protect" on my PC, but I'd like to be sure I don't have any malware infections. I hope this is just an unfortunate coincidence with the file names and not anything negative.
So, does anyone else have either of these files in the same directory? I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64.
EDIT: The files mentioned above are no longer detected in the latest version of AdwCleaner, but still so in Junkware Removal Tool. It seems to have just been a false positive due to the similar name of the files/folders.
