Hi all, I've been fighting with this problem for a long… I searched the forum, found this thread (http://www.forumclaessonedwards.com/forum/index.php/topic,935.15.html) but nothing I've not already done.

I'm running BBP with a Roland Octa Capture USB audio interface. The Roland's drivers latency is to the maximum (maximum buffer size), stability to the maximum. On BBP I use the low CPU mode, on Windows I gave cpu priority to the background processes. All Window's energy saving settings are OFF

I still have crackles on some video display activity : displaying a window, a dialog box, produces few (one) to many crackles. There is no fancy apps installed on the machine, no automatic updates, CPU HP seems to be ok.

We use BBP to process external audio input (PC -> mixing desk -> PC -> FM emitter & MP3 stream) – This allows us to process anything going to the mixing desk, coming from the automation playlist or a simple CD desk.

It seems that I even get crackles on some hard drive/network activity…

I've been investigating the most I can and I don't know what to do else…

    Bad motherboard
    Bad PSU!
No or wrong or bad drivers for graphic card and maybe chipset.
    Also try older soundcard drivers

Yes, it make sense and it could really be the cause… I'll investigate, thanks!

You should be able to find out what is causing latency problems on your system with this:

Thanks Jesse, I'll give it a try !

I installed all the motherboard low level drivers but the problem is still the same… The PC did run ok, without any glitch for 48 hours and then, they are there again…

I can see CPU spikes in windows CPU monitor that **could** be related with disk accesses…
