Hello
I made Tilt the card of sound with a exciter Elenos in order to I see configuration and all that clerks in the directives became rightly other observed that in certain radio receivers I do not have stereo nor the clue it turns on (st) concretely in Pioneer and Blaupunkt receiver.
My Sound card is 192khz, the stereo pilot they is in the 11,2% and rds from airomate it is presented in the screen of radios.
For who reason did become this?***Directives I took from (Calibrate using Modulation Monitor)
I a lot thank
April 5, 2009 at 12:03 pm #7049LeifKeymasterHi Stvgr!
I had a similar problem with a BW PLL+ 1W transmitter. It turned out to be slightly off-frequency! (It was not at 106.00, it was at 106.05 for example). This will make some receivers have problems, and others will work fine. After adjusting the frequency it worked fine.
If it’s not that (probably not — Elenos makes pretty good stuff), perhaps it’s a level problem? Are you sure your ref level is set correctly?
You can also try turning up the pilot level. I have seen radios which have trouble with 8% pilot, but do fine with 10%.

When I made Tilt the card of sound and Ref and Tilt they was in the levels that it should I see in monitor Exciter of Elenos… if I lower little Ref you say I see difference??? My pilot is 11.2%!!!
April 5, 2009 at 12:30 pm #7051Lee XSMemberWhat Leif said is very true, if this doesn’t work try this….
If you have a audio gain control on your Tx then I recommend you adjust this and the output of breakaway so that they are both in medium range. It sounds like one of the gains is very high and the other is very low, this will stop pilot tones getting through on some stereos.
Which modulation monitor did you use? because then this should give you pilot levels anyway.
April 5, 2009 at 12:54 pm #7052AnonymousGuestI see in modulation monitor Exciter of Elenos 20w

If they is this in the old days why it didn’t make him when I had Omnia One?
April 5, 2009 at 1:10 pm #7054LeifKeymasterI don’t know. There should be no difference when using Breakaway or other processors on this.
If you have an oscilloscope, connect it to the sound card output and turn on the QuickSweep, to verify that all frequencies are coming through as they should.

April 5, 2009 at 1:13 pm #7055AnonymousGuestThat is to say it should I find oscilloscope!!!
Ok thanksApril 5, 2009 at 1:15 pm #7056LeifKeymasterIt’s the easiest for sure. Because, if your sound card is locked to 48000 or 96000, you will see it very clearly on the oscilloscope.

October 7, 2009 at 9:15 pm #7057AnonymousGuestAfterwards from 5 months I found what is to blaim finally that did not remove from me Stereo in the all receivers. Leif to me had said something for drivers Digigram that exists problem with the company. Yesterday put the new publication Drivers the company and work perfect in the all radio receivers!!!!
Will Leif need again Tilt calibration?
October 8, 2009 at 3:07 pm #7058yorkie98ParticipantThis may have been missed…check that if there is an internal stereo generator in the transmitter this is disabled or bypassed.
October 9, 2009 at 12:28 am #7059LeifKeymasterThis is why a modulation analyzer is needed to set up *any* transmitter. 🙂
I personally would never even try to do it without one — it would be working blind. You might be able to get it to work, but the chances of it magically being correct are slim.
