Hey guys, I am new and have a machine that only has a pcie x16 slot in it.  I want to setup Breakaway Broadcast on it.  It is a HP server dl165 g5p running server 2003.
I am getting confused on reading up on soundcards.  I do need 192khz for rds.  I am looking for a budget version card that will work for now and then after I am confident in it, I will elect to go with a higher caliber card.  Can you aasist me with the following:

Budget Cards that will do 192khz that will work in my pcie x16 slot. (maybe sub $50.00 on ebay)

Better cards that will do 192khz that will also work on my pcie x16 slot (over the $50.00 range on ebay)

From what I researched, a x1, x4, x8 pcie card will work in a pcie x16 slot.  Thanks for your input in advance.

Yes, 1x PCIe will work on 16x slot.

even 16x cards works in 1x slot 🙂

Anyone have any ideas on how to get an Xonar DX working on Windows Server 2003?  Can't find drivers that will work.  Maybe a work around?  Thanks.  If not, does anyone reccommend a soundcard that will work on Windows server 2003?
