MemberCan you share the settings? I’m also tried to emulate a Optimod 8100 sound with Breakaway but I don’t find the right settings for it.

KeymasterNice work, Jesse! I’ll include it in the next version. Thank you 🙂.
Erwin, for 8100-style sound, try the following:
Helix, 50us
Final Drive: +3.3dB
Range: 40
Power: 50
Speed: 50
Bass Cut: -50
Bass Shape: 0///Leif

MemberOk, I’ll try it but is this an emulate with an XT or without, so only 8100?
January 5, 2009 at 1:25 am #6195Leif
KeymasterIt’s not an emulation, rather it produces a similar sound texture (albeit cleaner, louder and brighter) compared to a particular 8100/XT2 setup I received an MPX recording of.
An 8100 without XT2 couldn’t really do much, it’d just be a two-band compressor.

MemberOk thanks. Do you also have an emulation from an Omnia 6 FM?
January 5, 2009 at 11:15 am #6197Leif
KeymasterOmnia 6, no –
Erwin, I have a better idea.
Rather than thinking about it in terms of processors, think about it in terms of sound. If you can record MPX from a station whose sound you like, I’m sure I can help you on what settings to use to sound like it.
Please note that it must be true MPX (FM Composite) — L/R output of a tuner is not usable for this. See http://mpxtool.com .

MemberSorry, I don’t have it. But maybe somebody else have it. It don’t mather how it sounds but it must sound as an Omnia 6.

KeymasterFair enough. Let me know if you get an MPX recording, I’ll be able to help then.

MemberI have no recording. And the stations here are not using Omnia 6’s

KeymasterPerhaps you can describe in words what you are looking for.
Select the Breakaway Broadcast preset that is closest to the sound you are looking for, and then tell me which preset that is, and what is missing — what you would like to change. I might be able to help then.

MemberI like the sound from an Omnia. Which sound do think it’s the most Omnia 6 sounding setting?
January 5, 2009 at 5:10 pm #6203JesseG
Memberthere IS no setting or sound that "sounds like an Omnia" because an Omnia can sound like a million different things. You can not make a sound and say "this sounds like an Omnia" with ANYTHING. NOT EVEN AN OMNIA CAN SOUND LIKE AN OMNIA.
Instead, you must know the kind of sound you want to get. If you can’t describe the closest thing to the sound you are going for, and what it is missing, then there’s no way anyone can help you.

MemberI’m looking for to Omnia like presets, one AC and one CHR. Hope this helps.

KeymasterI’m sorry, I don’t think I can help.
