OK… does anyone know of a tutorial in English that would show how to set up Breakaway LIVE (licensed) to operate on the same computer that I am playing out of and streaming to my server with?  Any other programs such as VAC required?  Also…. what would cause a random "robotic" sound to my audio signal AFTER going through Breakaway LIVE?  Sometimes it kicks as… other times it sounds lie a bad robot imitation.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

I use SAM and Radio DJ for remote/portable shows.  Getting this working on one laptop would be key to send people out without the worries of having to set up a lot more equipment such as dedicated machines, etc.

    Thanks!

    This is simplified:

Audio player output set to Breakaway Line 1, then in breakaway have the DSP version of your encoder, like Edcast, hosted and that's really it. The main idea here is in this situation, you don't need a soundcard, just point the main output of your player to breakaway line 1 and that's it.

for sam broadcaster, click use soundcard AGC in the mixer section, make sure you turn off and bypass all sam's processing (both need to be done) . once soundcard AGC is clicked set your in and output to the breakaway pipelines you use for each, in my case i use pipeline 1 as input and 2 as output (i wonder could you just use 1 as both in and output)

One problem is for some reason, the Breakaway Pipeline is NOT showing up in my audio properties.  I have the licensed version.  I am so frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Is there a tutorial available for this program?

    Thanks

A work-around that might work is to install the demo of Breakaway *Broadcast* along with Live, and make sure to install four instances of it. This should give you four pipelines, that you can route audio between.

I *believe* that if you then remove Broadcast and leave Live, the pipelines should still appear.

I have a stream* setup where the input is the line input device of the professional sound card, and the output is Pipeline 3. EdCast takes the audio from Pipeline 3. I can then listen to the output by telling Windows 7 — under the volume control properties — to listen to the device on whatever I want, say, the sound card output itself, or event the front-panel headphone jack which runs on the onboard audio.

You can also just use the pipeline configuration program that comes with Live, Pro, DJ, etc to set the number of pipelines you want to have, among other things.

I should have known that. Totally forgot about the configuration utility.  🙂
