Getting a motherboard with a PCI slot is getting increasingly difficult… So in the very near future the Marian Trace cards can no longer be 'Breakaway's Best Friend'.
Are there any PCIe alternative's available.

And I mean really DC straight, not 'almost no tilt' cards…  ;D

Try Xonar DX with latest Asus drivers or Unixonar drivers, is low profile Pcie and Works great!

    Yes Boki!!
Although the response curve at high frequencies is less than ideal (correctable with parametric equalizer integrated in BBP asio), the xonar works great, very good opening stereo, clean sound and excellent latency (i'm using Unixonar modded drivers, but latest Asus drivers works great too). Also, after making the appropriate calibrations with an oscilloscope, the value of tilt was zero (did not have to change it.) For more than twenty days ago, working on my radio without any problems.

Hans van Zutphen (Stereotool) mentioned the Marian Seraph AD2, but that´s a whopping 2.5 times the price of a Trace Alpha.
It does offer AES/EBU input and output with built-in resampling though, that probably explaines the price.
