    I had BAE 1.42 running well before. Ever since I tried to install 1.44 and then uninstalled it because it didn’t work (and also maybe I updated my system/drivers trying to fix it along the way), BAE has not been working any more, for both version 1.42 and 1.44. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling 1.42 and 1.44 many times to no avail. I notice that there is a new folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_breakaway.exe… created on each crash and there would be a Report.wer file in it. Breakway.exe does not start at all. What is my next step?

    What version of Windows?
    The fact that both 1.42 and 1.44 both crash would tend to point to a problem within the nucleus of Windows, rather than BAE.
    Are you removing the Pipeline as well? You may have to go into Device manager and uninstall the Pipeline devices manually (under “Audio Inputs and Outputs” in Win 11).
    Remember to reboot after the uninstall, before attempting to re-install.

    I uninstalled BAE completely and checked that there were no pipeline devices in the device manager. The machine was rebooted.

    On a new installation:
    BreakawayPipeline_installer_4.66_2.exe installed fine, and seems to run fine, except that there is no sound output.
    Breakaway_setup_1.44.00.exe installed without errors but crashed on any attempt to start it up. There were breakaway.exe.<number>.dmp files in the Local\CrashDumps folder with the following information in Visual Studio:
