    Hi guys,

I’m having trouble getting Radio Boss Playout software to see the Virtual Audio cable. This is in a VPS running Windows Server 2012. I know its not really smart to run Breakaway Virtualised. But I’m getting great results. It largely intended for back up purposes.

I’ve used the Breakaway Pipe and one from – vb-audio.com – Radio Boss will NOT see both.

This is 64 bit and both pipes work in other 64bit machines that I have. I’ve been on the Radio Boss forum. But they say if it doesn’t see it as a sound device then I need to talk to you guys or vb-audio. Sounds like buck passing to me…

Has anyone else come across this? If so what was the fix please?

    Cheers All

Hi. I believe the Breakaway Pipelines and tools it uses are from Virtual Audio Cable. I recommend trying the VAC website and seeing if there’s a new version you can try. Regardless, I don’t think Leif is responsible for the lack of recognition from Radio Boss to virtual cables.

Thank you I will check that out. I too thought blaming the “third party” was not right. To be clear even the one they recommend doesn’t show up. Thanks again. Cheers

In the menu group installed in BA1, there is a shortcut to the VAC control panel. If you can open that, and SEE the installed cables, there’s definitely nothing wrong with BA1. Breakaway reads the registry to compile a list of inputs, so you might be able to search the registry via REGEDIT and find the relevant entries. It won’t solve your problem, but it might give you some evidence to bounce back to Radio Boss.
