So I have been demoing breakaway and have a problem.

I have read over the post but I am not sure if this is related to what I am having for an issue. I get nice clean audio with Live but when I click settings, I get clicks and pops. I also get that when I pull up any other window over the Live screen. I am not sure if there is something I should look into or change..

I am running Windows 7, all drivers updated as far as I know, ESI Maya 44XTe soundcard. This machine is dedicated to only processing and encoding, with the occasional web search.

    Any ideas?

Oh and I know that it is only this program doing it. I have another machine that I have used to test the output and it was a clean output. No pops or click.

Do you have "Audio Realtime Priority" ON ?
Also check your PC with "DPC latency checker"

Yes I do. I had some free time yesterday so I did some tests. Latency checker, listed in the pinned post, pointed to video card driver. So I double checked that. It was up to date. So I thought maybe just a bad driver, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still no luck. Then I thought why not try changing monitors. I had no other touchscreens laying around so I tried a regular monitor. Now, all is fixed. I have no idea what could have been causing that problem, but clearly it was the driver for the Dell touchscreen.

    How odd is that?

[/quote]Perfectly normal. Drivers are what cause DPC and other issues.  Usually I look at networking and usb connected devices, but it can be any incorrectly developed driver that will do it.  Some even from microsoft, imagine that.
