Hello all, I am running Windows 7 Professional x64. I am using SAM Broadcaster with Breakaway Pipeline sending audio to Breakaway Broadcast.

The problem that is occurring: when I leave SAM and Breakaway running for a few days, Windows eventually blue screens with a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. The possible cause of the blue screen is the file vaclcskd.sys. After Googling this file, I discovered that it belongs to the Breakaway Pipeline.

I have uploaded the minidump file associated with this crash. Thank you for any assistance.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)

An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually caused by drivers using improper addresses.

    DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: VISTA_DRIVER_FAULT
    PROCESS_NAME: SAMBC.exe
    IMAGE_NAME: vaclcskd.sys

So SAM is crashing Virtual Audio Cable (Breakaway Pipeline is a licensed copy of it). After "a few days"…
    System Uptime: 33 days 18:31:54.020
Hmm… have you tried having SAM access the Pipeline you’re using with a different method? (Wave/mme, DirectSound, etc)

Hi Jesse, thanks for the reply! Yes the phrase after "a few days" seems misleading at first when the minidump file shows a system uptime of 33 days. The reason why the system went 33 days without bluescreening is because every couple of days, I have been closing and re-opening SAM and Breakaway. If I don't do the routine of closing and re-opening every two days like clockwork (like if I wait 2.5 days), the system bluescreens – which in this case happened on the 33rd day.

I haven't had a chance to switch from Kernel Streaming Output (which I am currently using) to another output driver, but if I ever want to continuously keep both of them running I'll give your suggestions a try.

Replace the BB pipeline with VAC and you'll have no problems
