Hello,
Tried to speak with Leif at IBC but he was always engaged in more serious conversation 🙂
We have a lot of Axia Audio and Telos kit now using Livewire througout the audio chain and we still want to maintain the Breakaway software processing however an overnight programme comes to us already processed and hence we would ideally wish to bypass the Breakaway for the duration of that feed.
We are internet streaming only and the Omnia 9 is overkill so wondered if anyone has managed to do this with the existing software solution or whether Leif would consider a simple implementation of Dayparting for a fee?
I’m not keen to move away from this solution as I personally think little else touches it however this aspect will probably mean we have little or no choice but to bring out our original harware DSP-X analogue processor and remove the software solution.

Simple Dayparting allowing either a change in processor preset or actually, in our case, switching to bypass mode to allow us to take the remote (processed already) feed without messing it totally up by subjecting it to our chain!
Looking at the Omnia 9 spec again online it looks like Dayparting is not actually implemented on the Omnia 9 yet either….says its a future feature.
Was actually listening to your station a little earlier here in the UK…

Future feature in the 9, but you can also trigger pretty much any change you can imagine through GPIO.
That said… dayparting is an add-on you may see with the new Breakaway stuff. 🙂 There’s a lot of opportunities to create a more complete system to broadcast with, after it leaves the automation/mixer that Leif wants to tie together. Day-parting is definitely a bigger deal to have an add-on for than most ideas for new features. I can’t say what Leif is thinking as he is constantly re-formulating ideas, but we had talked about that being one of the major add-ons.
