Hallo, i’m a newbie here and I need for your help!!!
I work in a local fm radio station, where we use the bbp asio for main audio processing.
The connection diagram of the connection is : Studio – BBP computer – TX link – Rx Link – Transmitter with built in stereo encoder.
The station plays foreign and greek dance music more.
My questions are : Is the connection diagram is correct ? and what is the best preset for this kind of music???Thanks !!!

The level of the deviatiaon is between 75 – 85khz.
We are using the "easy listening" preset right now. The problem is that the most often highly, it compressed more songs.
What do you suggest me?Thanks
April 21, 2012 at 2:47 pm #13179JesseGMemberthat much above 75kHz and something isn’t calibrated correctly. have you corrected for any bass tilt or high frequency rolloff from the soundcard using Breakaway (and ideally a scope) yet?
April 21, 2012 at 3:31 pm #13180djparanoidMemberWe use M-audio audiophile 192 pci. I measure the deviotion via a spectrum analyser. Propably i should calibrate it better with the instructions of the BBP.
But my questions is, which is the appropriate preset for the kind of music we play???Thanks!!
April 21, 2012 at 3:36 pm #13181BokiMemberI guess you don’t know why i ask for deviation…
I knew that you have overshots since you use Stereo Coder in transmitter and that stereo coder seems does not have clipper. So, what you need is PC with BBP at transmitter and use Stereo coder form BBP. Deviation should be much better and then you can start to test presets.

When i put the bbp computer with transmitter and finalize the deviation, how i will choose the best preset???Thanks!

The same goes for any adjustments to it. You might try Rustonium, that’s a very solid and mature sound that is good on basically all content, except for maybe a classical music station. You won’t sound as good as Rustonium in an Omnia.9 (not to mention Undo™ etc) but it sounds pretty good anyways. Zenith through the clipper also sounds ok, with the final drive turned up a bit if needed. 🙂 For rock, you would be silly not to at least try Motor City. I recently combined Motoro City with the most insane bass sound I’ve ever created 😀 which I’ll probably be sharing with some stations first, then eventually dropping for the public to play with. (believe me, i have even more deadly weapons that wont be public hehe)

A longtime "oldies" fan, I made the switch to "Rustonium" after some guidance from a good friend. I have to say it is an excellent preset and the only one I use now.
