Hi one and all – Seasons greetings,
I just started testing Breakaway Live with SamBroadcaster,
I configured it per instructions using the LiveLinkHad a few issues in the beginning, where as i was not getting no audio from Sam to BL, came to find out, that i was using the Breakaway Broadcaster LiveLink dsp’s…(duh)
However, it’s working perfect.
Current Settings:
SamBroadcaster –> LiveLink (BL) —> Edcast —> Shoutcast (had some issues with SamEncoder connecting to the shoutcastserver)Objective:
I want the output from Breakaway Live be sent to the sound card, so we can monitor that via speakersI tried sending OutPut1 – (KS and wave) to the Soundcard, but non worked, no audio was being sent to the speakers via soundcard
I’m using windows 7 professional.can someone instruct me as how to achieve this.
thanksJanuary 1, 2012 at 1:30 am #12914dancemusicradioParticipanthigh, i use broadcast with sam but my setup should work for you using live, what i do is to click on the use soundcard agc in sam broadcaster, have breakaway pipeline 1 as the input and breakaway pipeline 2 as the output. this cuts out the need for livelink. you say your using edcast, have you sam and breakaway+edcast on separate pc’s? sam has its own encoders but your aware of that.
January 1, 2012 at 7:44 am #12915sidimustafaMemberYea, i’m aware of SAM having it’s encoder, but for some reason, it was not connecting to my shoutcast server, tried it with two different shoutcast servers and had the same connection issues, and since edcast connected very good i used it
I also tried that setting you suggested, but for some reason i’m having lots of difficulties with that set up, one time i’ll get it work, and after a reboot it stops working, i have to be constantly fideling with settings to get it work again.
Even when using ZaraRadio i had that same problem sending audio to the Breakaway PipeLine.
I get it to work good, but then after a reboot, no audio is being passed to Breakaway, then i fiddle with the same settings that worked before the reboot, and it works again, after a reboot the same issue, first i thought it was an issue with Zara, so i then started testing Sam, and had the same problem
Only the Livelink connections worked pretty good, even after many reboots
tahnks
January 1, 2012 at 1:36 pm #12916kniggetMemberI’m curious – why use livelink?
Sambroadcaster outputs to pipeline1
BAL input is pipeline 1, output is pipeline 2
Edcast uses pipeline 2Unless I’m missing something?
January 1, 2012 at 3:48 pm #12917sidimustafaMemberOk to be honest, which one of these options is the one i should try?
i’ll try them booth and report backOption 1.
Disable Live Link
Sam Output: Output device: Silent Output
Sam Output: No sound device Required
Sam Mixer: Use SoundCard AGC
In: Line 2
Out: Line 1Option 2.
Disable Live Link
Sam Output: Output device: DirectSound output
Sam Output: Line1 (breakaway pipeline)
Sam Mixer: Disable SoundCard AGCJanuary 2, 2012 at 2:55 am #12918sidimustafaMemberOk, spent some time playing around with SAM Broadcaster
Finaly got SAM Encoder working, came to find out that SAM defaults to Shoutcast v2, while my provider is still on V1, changed that in the encoder, and SAM started broadcasting to shout cast.
After testing Option 1, for a few seconds i quickly realized that something was not right, streamed output was cracking so bad that you could barely understand the sound to likeness
Tried Option 2, and that survived all reboots/shutdown of SAM/BAL……
Quality was as good as BAL could have provide, will do some more testing…and when happy, will post the link on my website, when i have a stable PC to do the daily broadcasting…January 2, 2012 at 4:07 am #12919dancemusicradioParticipantthe use soundcard AGC is the best option, send the input to pipeline 1 and output to pipeline 2. then shutdown sam (go to its program folder and shut it down using the sam shutdown command so to save your changes)
