First of i have to say that BBP is the greatest audio processor out there.
But my question is how do i get a deep and warm but at the same detailed bass sound.
I have to do a bass cut before the processor doesn’t destroys the kick drum. If the bass boost is at 0 it interfers with the kickdrum and makes it muddy.

    thanks

in the midbass, which is where the kick definition is at, there’s an easy rule of thumb… if it’s muddy, there’s little dynamics, if it’s punchy there’s lots of dynamics.

so basically… you’re setting final drive too high for the amount of bass you’re getting, and for the amount of punch you would like to have.

    makes sense?

Interesting… Instead of lowering the final drive, could one insert a dB attenuator in the chain to reduce the dynamics? Or does BBP bring all levels up no matter what, thus the need for the final drive here?

    Cheers,

It effects the same as you lower the final drive for 1db.
