    hi i have a vt1708s and the specifications is up to 192khz dac and adc, but under win xp only run in 96khz, 🙁 …somehow works under windows xp?

    192kHz capable audio doesn’t come in XP until you install Service Pack 1 or later. The driver must also support it, of course.

    I guess same problem in XP as mine with SoundMAX.
    By default works at 48 or 96kHz and you cannot and you don’t have anywhere to change that in Mixer or XP’s Control panel.
    So i fixed it by installing Win7 drivers.
    But you need to check is anywhere you can change Sample rate, somewhere in Mixer panel.
    With Realtek onboard that’s easy to change. Don’t know for VIA.

    jesse i have win xp service pack 3 but the control panel dont have the option,
    boki you install windows 7 drivers in xp?
    in xp control panel dont have 192, but win 7 have.

    yes, for onboard SoundMAX HD Soundcard, which gives me highest possible rate and that is 192kHz.
    Did you look at VIA soundcard panel some option to change rate ?

    the XP version does not give options, but win 7 drivers have options of 192khz samplerate,

    I will try what you say 😀 .

    I tried it and does not work 🙁

    according lief must change something in the registry, But lief is lost!
