    Hi,

Quick question, it looks like dsphost.exe from BBP gets quite unstable overtime on our server, is there a solution to avoid it creeping up over short periods of time and causing some issues with the server as a result? If not will this issue be fixed in the new BBP version coming up? When can we expect this new release? 🙂

    Cheers,

It’s worth noting that any bugs etc that are in any plugins you may be loading, would be manifested in that process. Not saying that’s the case, just mentioning it.

There’s really not much to dsphost.exe — it’s there to host plug-ins, and prevent buggy plug-ins from crashing the main breakaway process. In hindsight, I’m very glad I structured it this way — if I hadn’t, you’d be blaming Breakaway for the instability, as opposed to blaming dsphost. Really, it’s the plug-in. If you want dsphost.exe to run more stably, try running a different plug-in in it. 🙂

    Jesse & Leif,

Thanks for your replies, actually you are quite right, Edcast is indeed acting up us and causing the dsphost.exe to spike from time to time. I shall look forward to Leifcast becoming available on the Omnia site one of these days 🙂

    Cheers,
