Which version for DTV broadcast ?

    Hi, I want to test and use one the Breakaway products for Digital Television broadcast (DVB-T), since this is not analogue FM I guess that Breakaway Broadcast will not be needed and I can use Breakaway Live.

    My main goal is to compress/limit audio signal, mantain a constant loudness level and gain a little bit of punch, content is 85% talk and 15% music. Transmision chain is analogue video/audio microwave link from studio to transmision site and from there feed into the DVB encoder.

    Which product is the rigth one for me ?

    I guess that Breakaway Live is rigth for me but whether Breakaway Broadcast will give me a valuable gain is something I am not seeing after testing both products and reading all documentation.

    while Breakaway Live would work on the audio portion (if you’re not doing 5.1 audio at all), it doesn’t provide any of the other features one normally requires in broadcast television. I highly recommend having a look over the functionality of Linear Acoustic boxes, and having this discussion with them. There is a chance that Breakaway Live could do what you need, but I personally doubt it.
