Hey guys,
I need some help obtaining one of these (with LCD module):
http://www.broadcastwarehouse.com/bw-broadcast/pll+-1w-exciter/6/product
The guys at Broadcast Warehouse can no longer sell these to anyone in the EU so if anyone has one they’d like to sell, please get in touch or if you are outside the EU and you could buy it for me that would be great!
Or I could do a deal on a "brand new" Marian Trace Alpha with you as I know these are really expensive in some countries.
Thanks

I have also found this on eBay which looks like an exact copy, has anyone had any experience with it:

Thanks[/quote]Hello Lee,
I have exact the same problem. I live in the Netherlands. They won’t sell to the Netherlands too.
Why the hell is that anyway? There is an alternative:
http://www.pcs-electronics.com/transmitters-transmitter-kits-c-1_17.htmlThe (sound) quality is a little lower i think.
June 6, 2011 at 10:20 pm #12253Lee XSMemberHi Buik,
I think it’s because there was a pirate station causing major interference and they were found to be using Broadcast Warehouse equipment and they got canned for it, so they decided to stop selling all the kits/modules to Europe to stop the risk of this happening.
Their gear is very good so I think it was more user error than manufacture error.
Back on topic, we either need to find someone out of Europe to supply us at a decent price or maybe someone can test the clone on eBay I have linked above to see if it’s the same quality??

Looking at the picture, this IS a BW product being re-sold by an export reseller but wouldn’t stake my life on it.
One of my favorite sellers of RF amps also re-sell the BW exciters Here:

Yorkie.UPDATE….
I have looked closer at the picture of this exciter and of the other items he is selling, this definately confirms to me that this seller is a BW reseller, if you look at the little limiter he has, this has the BW logo on it (blurred out but still distinctive) and if you look at the "1WATT PLL FM BROADCAST TRANSMITTER EXCITER MODULE BOARD", the little antenna man making rude gestures can be clearly be seen on this board, this is also a distinctive hallmark or genuine BW gear.
I would order from this seller without hesitation and be sure I’m getting genuine BW gear.
I have not had any experience of any other manufacturer (such as PCS) but their exciters do also look very appealing if I were in the market for unboxed exciters. Unfortunately in my work, I only ever buy certified rackmount gear.
