    Hello,

I’m super happy with the quality of the audio output using Breakaway, however, I would really like my Volume hotkeys on my keyboard to control Breakaway’s volume! The hotkeys change the windows volume slider, but it has no effect on Breakaway’s volume. I’ve read through a ton of threads here, and I can’t seem to find what I’m doing wrong.

I set up the 30-day trial today following the on-screen instructions and everything seems to be working as expected except for this one annoyance.

Can someone help me out? What am I doing wrong?!

    Hi Joe

I’m not sure if this will answer your question. It certainly answered mine.
However, on my netbook, which has dedicated "multimedia" keys, things work just fine! (Both my desktop PC and my netbook use XP SP3). You may want to invest in a multimedia keyboard. I’m too lazy to change mine!

    Cheers

Because Breakaway essentially makes a "fake" sound card, you’re trying to adjust that and it has no effect.

No idea if there’s really a fix for this, or how they would do a fix– they would need to somehow leave your speakers as the "default" output device and pipe audio to it. So for now, we have no way of handling keyboard volume controls that I can see.
