Memberjust wanted to share this problem.
problem- breakaway broadcast processor (ASIO)2 weeks ago the breakaway (90.95 version) after months and months of flawless operation with the latest version, keeps freezing our pc.
Of course this pc is only for Breakaway..no additional hardware/software on it.
It is set to not update windows or drivers. It basically just stay’s the way it is.. and it works for two years now 🙂after switching to the backup Hardware (some old stuff) we started testing.
We monitored everything; attacks from outside /inside , latency issues , drivers ,temperature ,the whole 9 yards.. only if we did not use breakaway on it.. it would keep running.
Strange…
We got an identical pc (an ampty one) and installed everything, updated the drivers and to our surprise the machine had the same problem.
Now we took 2 different empty machines (we have lots of back-up) and installed one with win2k and one with XP-sp3+ …same problem.only with breakaway turned off the pc would keep running.
Now.. we emptied all machines and installed the official download (what is it…70 or 77?) version and it keeps running on every machine.
the plan is to upgrade in a weeks intervall to test when the ..you know what will hit the fan.
——the machines equipped with Breakaway-LIVE keep running.
Kind regards..

MemberHave you tried running the newer Breakaway with the older Pipeline? Or the older Breakaway with the newer Pipeline?

MemberHi Jesse,
We did not think of that cause the pipeline gets reinstalled with every update ? Not ?

MemberStill no luck.. after apr. 1 month of struggle we decided to remove breakaway out of our air-chain.
It was to good to be true..Our technical staff is still trying to revive the breakawaybox and they will continue to do so until they figure out what the hell is wrong with it.
But it is just unacceptable that we have continuous error’s and no audio on our transmitter..So..
We’re very sorry that our breakaway adventure has to end here.
If something comes up we’l give a heads-up..
Greets,
Joop

MemberDid you try also Virtual Audio Cable v4.09 ?

http://software.muzychenko.net/trials/vac409.zipIt’s basically the same thing as the older Breakaway Pipeline, and won’t be installed over by newer versions of the Breakaway Pipeline.
