I couldn’t reach the site for a couple of days. Server problems, disk crash ?
Site overload because everybody want news about the new Breakaway box?Or is the competition hacking this site…. 😆
What is happening?
BTW: Currently the site is very slow.
April 7, 2011 at 7:50 pm #12075ModulatorMemberMaybe it was a security breach, because there were adverts on the "404" page..
April 8, 2011 at 3:47 pm #12076hucfinnMemberIt currently takes 35 seconds to just load the page…

April 16, 2011 at 3:30 pm #12078Dj BuikMemberWhat the heck is going on with the Breakaway site?
Can any body explain why the site again goes offline a second time?

I didn’t know about that site, i needed to register to read that threat…. 🙂
So the ISP is screwing the things up, time for a move.
April 17, 2011 at 10:24 am #12081JesseGMemberYep, it’s PowWeb. I recommended it 2 years ago because at the time they had been great for me for 5 years. Then sure enough 6 months after that, they go and delete all of the mp3s off of my website that I use for mastering… without bothering to see if it was against any of the TOS (it wasn’t)< and without bothering to even ask me about it first.
It’s a similar scenario with what’s going on with this site now, except they are actually pulling the whole site. Totally lame, and total lies when they say "unlimited" space and bandwidth.
April 18, 2011 at 5:00 am #12082Dj BuikMemberSo they pulling the plug for some MP3’s in this forum?
That’s strange. Are they located in the USA?Better find some ISP outside USA (for example Europe).

Our laws are not that ‘strong’.[/quote]The mp3 thing happened with MY site, not ceaudio.com
And as previously mentioned, it had NOTHING to do with copyright. They didn’t bother to ask me at all. The mp3 files were for my mastering business, for clients. 8)

Where is this option? What’s the URL? I can’t find it, and haven’t used it before. What an awesome ("secret") forum administrator I am. 😆April 21, 2011 at 10:40 am #12086MilkyKeymaster"View New Posts" option seems to have gone too. I found that handy to pick off the crap spam postings. Now I have to search each thread. Just killed off another couple. 😀 😀
April 21, 2011 at 11:12 am #12087JesseGMemberLeif might have turned off the search function, if the CPU use of the site was "too high". Can’t wait till this is on a new host, and I’m switching to SMF. 😉 *Much* better against spammers from the get go, and also the ban system makes it much easier to track spammers/people because it acts more like a dragnet. The better you make a ban, the more exponential its ability to catch them is. 8)
