I decided to purchase Breakaway Enhancer for my Laptop (after being so impressed with Breakaway’s other products for my webstream)

When I went into the settings, I got the "blue screen of death" and the laptop rebooted.
Then I tried to let the "wizard" set it up, and I got the blue screen again, and it rebooted.

Tried this a couple more times before just giving up. Any ideas? The laptop runs Windows 7. I even tried to adjust the compatibility mode.

    Thanks!

Did you install the latest (audio) drivers for your laptop?
Also try ‘Wave’ or ‘DS’ mode as input/output interface.

What version Breakaway you are trying to install?
Version 1.30.02 is the latest. Breakaway does not need ‘compatibility mode’.

Yeah the only thing that can cause a BSOD is the audio drivers. Try using something besides KS. Some drivers (obviously really bad ones) falsely report that they support KS, when they do not, and that could possible cause a BSOD.

Where in BAE do I change from KS? I know where to do this in Live and BBP, but not in BAE.

Right click on Breakaway main window, click settings.

And you have to be in the "Expert Mode" of the settings to see that. 😉

In the Settings. Right click on main Breakaway Audio Enhancer window, go to "Settings", then if you’re in the Wizard, click "Expert Mode". If you’re already in Expert Mode, you’ll see a "Wizard" button instead.
