Good morning.
I have been a happy LEGAL user for many years.
I still hope that Leif doesn’t forget about us.
I imagine there are more people like me who have been with him since the beginning of Breakaway.
We provide suggestions, failures and we buy the product.
It is honestly outrageous to see how there are newer versions of BAONE in hacking forums.
Any user can access and we, the users who buy the product, do not even have a user manual.
Leif is a genius, there is no doubt about that, but he abandoned us.I hope that at some point he returns and does not forget the genuine users that we gave so much for BA.

Let me make my position very clear.
I have an agreement with Leif’s company (Claesson Edwards) to assist on and administer this forum, were I can. However, I have absolutely NO control over what Leif does and when he does it.I report all relevant posts, queries and bugs through an agreed communication protocol, and, on some occasions, I receive feedback which I pass back to the forum, but, I reiterate, I have no control over the development schedule for the product.

Since you are the link between the users and Leif, I could send you my concern if it is not too much trouble.
I hope you understand my position, I only pretend that we are not abandoned.
I understand that everything is business, that I work for omnia (that speaks of the success of leif) and I am very happy.
But I repeat, seeing the more advanced BA in dark places and nothing here, causes some discomfort.Thank you!
Thank you for understanding. As it turns out, I did get an email from Leif today, where several matters were resolved or escalated. More soon (I hope).
To be clear, the “more advanced” one in dark places of the internet is hacked, not just cracked. It contains access to features that won’t be available unless Claesson-Edwards sells access to them. And if they did, they’d be undercutting the Omnia line and potentially liable for damages.
From every description I’ve read, the concept of Breakaway is simplicity, and the access to those extra controls is not intended to be part of the product. There are other processors out there that offer more customization and opportunities to make it sound bad. Breakaway is meant to be usable by novices in a fool-proof manner.
Having said that, I’d absolutely buy access to more advanced controls or the dynamics expansion portion of Undo.
I did not give details of what I saw, so as not to disrespect Leif, but the BA I saw is much more customizable.
Obviously someone you trust filtered said version, maybe it was a Beta.I am wiling to buy BreakAwayOne, see that the latest version is 3.19.x of 2018. Is there any chance there will be a newer version after 3 years of no new versions.
And no, I’m not the guy who get any of the hacked 3.20 versions around the net. If anything works fine I will buy the product from the creator.I know that Leif is working on some changes, but he is also working on other projects, so there is no guarantee that a new version will drop in the near future. But, it WILL happen.
Next question: if I now buy 1 HD processing core, is it possible to add for example streaming later on. I cannot see how to purchase that separately. I guess it can and the you will get a new certificate file where all bought products are in?
You can still buy a license right now, and it’ll work with the 2018 version, which is fine (you still get what you’re paying for). You can even try the software fully before buying. But I see that this update mess (no new official version for 3 years, and more recent versions available on dark sites instead) is not good for business, because people think this is abandonware and/or that the official website may not be trustworthy, considering it doesn’t seem to be up to date. I know Leif is a very busy man, but for the best of its business, he should really do something about this update version issue as soon as possible. It’s the classic Breakaway situation all over again, where he works in his software for some time, and then poof, gone for months! Very frustrating for his customers, both long time and to become.
I hear all the doubters out there, and I have passed on this dissent to the Company. What you may not know is that Leif’s long-time business partner, Keith Edwards, passed away suddenly about a year or so ago. He was in charge of maintaining the website, issuing licences and upgrades, all of the financial management and even support for this forum. His loss was a major setback at a very difficult time in Leif’s career.
Keith’s son, John, has now taken over, but it has been a very steep learning curve for him, and things have had to be prioritised. I have drawn his attention to the fact that the BAE version available from the store is not the one that Leif updated because of the Windows update, and I will remind him again now.
As for Leif, I am in contact with him, but he is kept very busy with a personal AND a professional project, both of which are nearing completion. He will surface at some stage, but I wouldn’t expect much before Xmas.
Yeah, that’s a timing/attention pattern I’ve noticed regarding Xmas stuff. BA1 has a Holiday themed registration reminder jingle or two that appear around that season when in trial mode.
We’re definitely interested in these rad little projects that could become awesome huge projects, or remain niche. I saw a video on YT from an account I suspect is Leif’s that has something like 30 RGB bulbs synchronizing to what looked like the BA1 or Omnia interface or something. None of the other current methods I’ve come across for music sync for my Hue were nearly that good.
