Excellent! I’ve used Zenith since I bought BADJ and I love it.
I have to show my ignorance. How does one go about installing a new or replacement preset?Bring it on!
I’ve not had the same problem at all, powerjam. However, I’m running on a desktop with an internal PCI card (M-Audio). I recall that you were having ASIO glitches before you installed BA-DJ, so there must be some sort of timing issue that Breakaway masks most of the time.
I understand the principal of buffers, and the need to keep them as small as possible, but can someone please expain the "Buffer Count" option, and whether that should be smaller or bigger. I have Buffers at 64 and buffer count at 2, and everything seems to be working fine.

The price is EXTREMELY good for the product delivery. I’d love a few more presets, but these will come.I am a software developer, and wouldn’t dream of selling my efforts for less than $100. Keep up the great work, Leif.
I don’t know how Ots do their video, but the TV version I use runs at a true 720p, and is capable of 60fps. It’s only since I’ve had OtsTV that I have been collecting music videos. I’m running BADJ on 48/2 with no crackle at all. Is that a bad thing?
I would love a walk through of some of the controls. For instance, on the "Signal Settings" screen, I can set the volume to zero, and it sounds fine, but the bar graphs above it are going full window and there is a red bar going the other way on peaks. I assume this is overdriving, so I backed off the volume to about 8.5 before the red blips went away. I also don’t understand the "EQ Headroom" which is at 0.00. The only down side is the limited number of presets, which seem to be tilted towards big bins used for large venues.
Whilst my speakers are no slouches, technologically and in size, my room size and acoustic characteristics just do not work with the "heavier" presets like Plutonium. The best I have found to suit the room is "Zenith", but I wonder what else is out there. Is there a possibility that more "gentler" presets will be added in the future? Is it possible to create and add my own presets?I can see the possibility that the "DJ" name will give way to something more "homey", or a home version may evolve with the great low latency, but a different range of presets.
For what it is worth, I have been bashing OtsTV all day through BADJ running KS in and ASIO out (M-Audio 192 card) and it hasn’t missed a beat, so I don’t believe the problem it Ots. SOunds superb! Thanks Leif.
OK, I have downloaded this program, and would like to use it to check my speaker setup. Is there a help file or readme somewhere so I know what I’m doing with it? I’ve got the mic, phantom power etc. Where to from here?
Funny, it must be a "newbie" thing, because I asked the very same question just after I purchased it.
Thanks DJ Buik. I’d been "sniffing around" for quite some time, but was concerned with the video latency. I am pleased to report that, with a video running at 720p, plus BADJ, the CPUs just make it to 30% on a transition and there is no discernible lag. I even watched a Phil Collins drum solo, and the audio was there just as he hit the skins.
Just noticed a minor glitch. If you pull up the I/O configuration screen, the mouse pointer disappears behind it so you can’t see what you are pointing at. The buttons still highlight as you hover over them behind the screen. Similarly, on the PEQ screen, if you are sliding one of the controls left or right and another screen gets focus in front, the slider still acts as though the left mouse button is depressed, so if you move the mouse to respond to the new pop-up screen, the faders on the PEQ screen still react.
Is there a way to reset the PEQ back to their defaults? I notice a vertical button, but it doesn’t seem to do anything.
Similarly, if I fiddle about with (say) the plutonium setting, and I mess it all up, is there a way to reset it back to what it was originally?
