A lot of talk about it, but no proof!
I uploaded plenty in the past, including the full torture test, but took the files down a while ago. Sorry that you missed it. =)By the way, it sounds even better than those samples I uploaded before, due to a few new tricks being added to Omnia.9’s core.
[edit] oops accidentally deleted your post oude, i thought it was a double post while i was going through, my bad, but at least i quoted it in full. 😛 [/edit]

Ots, with all of its audio processing off, outputting into a pipeline.
Breakaway, inputting from that same pipeline, with EdCast loaded into the "Encoders" section (plugin version ofc).If you use the standalone version, you would have to output from Breakaway into another pipeline and then into Edcast, which is adding another few links in the chain to break (the audio driver connections). You’ll also benefit from Breakaway having much better resolution for its internal sample rate than the current Pipelines do. Leif passed along the way to do much more accurate timing to Eugene Muzychenko, the guy that makes Virtual Audio Cable (aka VAC) which is what the Pipeline essentially is a licensed copy of. But you would still be adding more links in the chain to potentially fail.
JesseGMemberI do. Adapt-X, and DirectiXer which turns any VST plugin into a DirectX plugin. I just like the way it lets me manage what VSTs I wanna see in it, adjust for incorrect naming, etc.

Ah my bad. In Live you shouldn’t ever need to use that function. It happens after the processing, and if you’re encoding the audio for streaming, it already is using an ideal filter for the task at hand. So you don’t need that.As for the meta-controls you asked about mainly, I try to let people come up with their own ideas, since it’s so simple and hard to do a lot of wrong to it. (unlike Omnia.9 with hundreds of controls) I did however post my stereo enhancer settings somewhere, search the forum using the search function.
The first thing I would be concerned about is getting a good setup to monitor your stream/broadcast with. And then using Breakaway Live’s Parametric EQ to make slow sine-wave sweeps sound all the same loudness. You might have more accurate results using headphones, depending on your speakers and room acoustics.
JesseGMemberMXL has a USB PZM mic, "AC-404 USB", I use one for voice chat, voip, etc, and it’s great. it has 3 mics with processing for directionality and noise rejection, and also a nice real slow AGC so you don’t have to fiddle with record levels much ever.
JesseGMemberGo ahead and post it michi, it’s fine. I’ll take a guess at it being SoundSolution…?
Can’t wait for you to get your hands on Passive Aggressor michi. It’s still by far the most relaxed natural processing I’ve heard that also does decent (and very consistent) spectral balancing. It’s decidedly unloud. It’s not surprising to have peaks only at -3dB or less if you’re playing really loud slammed stuff these days, if you don’t have Undo going before it ofc.
JesseGMemberI dunno, Volume Logic has its faults, but in many ways it still beats studio processing, and I disagree about being able to chain any current VST plugins together and get as good sound on average. it’s just not made to have the program dependency that a broadcast audio processor is.
JesseGMember
Is Breakaway a VST plugin ? 🙄
Breakaway is a VST host, with a Winamp plugin to load them. Dunno what other use you had in mind.November 23, 2011 at 8:47 am in reply to: how setting Plutonium and Frence Kiss include setting challe #12832JesseGMember
bandwith 16.0 khz.
You could set that to 17.5kHz if you don’t have RDS, and get a bit more treble. Worth checking, to see if you like the slight change in sound.JesseGMembernothing to be sorry about. edcast is also excellent. 🙂
JesseGMember
Edcast fully integrated in Breakaway would be great.
Leif already has excellent streaming facilities in his new framework, so at least wait to see how that works out. 8)JesseGMemberSure, with a VST to Winamp loader plugin. There’s a dozen some ways to load VSTs into Winamp.
As far as the plugin itself, I suggest giving this one a try also 🙂

Yes. 🙂JesseGMemberhttp://rockradio1-3.mixstream.net:8000/listen.pls
Been managing their sound for about 5 years (or more? man, time flies). It is one of only a dozen featured stations on Shoutcast mobile (for instance, within Winamp/Shoutcast for Android/iPhone). It also takes turns with ChronicX as the #1 metal station online.
I hadn’t told anyone about this station since a while ago, because I’ve been using Breakaway on it since before it was public. The preset is Motor City, and this is the station it was originally developed for. If you want to hear what Motor City should sound like when everything is perfect, this is it. I would also lie if I said I wasn’t using a few secret tricks on it too. 😆
