I have now also tested this on a Scarlet 2i2, with the same issue on Windows 7. "Device does not support requested format or sound device is busy". Yes these cards are set to 48000. I really wish this problem could be fixed, life isn't the same without Breakaway. I tried DFX and it's not even close to the quality.

Using Windows 7 here and have installed 1.40.02 and 1.40.03 (Windows 10 Version).

I've been using Breakaway for years and I just ran into a similar problem with the new version. Tried on two different soundcards; a Realtek and HTO Striker 7.1, both of which previously ran fine with Breakaway. I constantly get a "Device does not support requested format or sound device is busy".

I attempted to change all settings utilizing 44100 and 48000, with all combinations, in both the control panel and breakaway, I restarted my computer after uninstalling Breakaway, then reinstalled with the same problem. As I said I did this with both versions above. Nothing is working. I'm very sad because Breakaway makes everything sound amazing and without it I'm lost. Help!
