Can someone out there give me a good critique of my sound? Current settings are being used
on an oldies format as follows:French Kiss
Range 40
Power 45
Speed 45Station is at: http://www.live365.com/stations/5_mile_point?play=1
And if there’s anything that needs fixing, say so, please. I can take the criticism.
The bass is quite good.DBBMemberIf your transmitter has no stereo multiplex input, it may not be possible to have RDS.
So select a sound card, but too bad if it isn’t up to 192 khz. If so, no wonder that you can’t have RDS. But you may be trying to run two sound cards at once and causing conflict. Also, I’m not sure if it’s good to use Breakaway and Stereotool at the same time. Maybe someone else would know.
DBBMember
Hi all. I need a little help getting this up and running….
What I have is:
Breakaway broadcast asio (latest version)
Windows 7 32 bit home
Marian trace alpha sound cardI was using this system with an Maudio delta 66 but there was occasional glitching and I wasn’t happy with the card overall so I decided to go with the recommended Marian Trace Alpha. I installed the card and the drivers and all was good. I could see input levels on the Marian trace mixer so I was confident that this was going to be a walk in the park…. Hmmm
I selected the ASIO Marian trace option in Breakaway config but could not get any levels into Breakaway. I have been trying every option I could think of with no success. I even reinstalled the Maudio and it worked fine. I’m confused???One other thing I noticed was that the pipelines were not available options in Breakaway config, but not sure if they’re meant to be..
Any help is very welcome.
Did you try running the installation .exe file in compatibility mode set to Windows XP? If I had the Marian card, that’s what I would have tried.DBBMemberOK, thanks for the pointer. And then judging from this illustration at http://www.claessonedwards.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=70&Itemid=87 a second sound card or the one built in on the motherboard is needed to provide L/R audio outputs to the L/R audio inputs on the transmitter. Right? If so, I hope the two audio sources don’t conflict with each other on the computer.
DBBMemberFrom having seldom worked with an oscilloscope, I wouldn’t mind seeing an illustration showing how an oscilloscope is hooked up to BBP and the transmitter.

Just started could mean it won’t be ready to go until next year. -
