I am not competent enough to start talking about K S, as I said at the outset I am not a techy type person.

Bose users suggest it is a Breakaway problem.
Maybe some screen shots of Windows audio settings, OtsDJ output window, Breakaway input window, Breakaway output window and anything else directly relevant would certainly help. I’m sure you can appreciate that it’s quite hard to trouble shoot a system we have no first hand experience with, so the more information the better.
I fully apreciate that without the full info trouble shooting is a problem! 😉 Screenshots for me is unknown territory.

I’ve been on the Bose forum trying to resolve the issue and I am 99.99999999999% sure that it’s the Breakaway/Tonematch that is creating the problem. Ots its fine I can run that through an M Audio 410 soundcard fine. It’s when the Breakaway meets the Tonematch that it never works.

Is there anybody from the company that views this forum on a daily basis? I have spent £65 on something I cannot use. I have followed instuctions from people on here and spent hours trying to remedy the problem to no avail.

Surely I cannot be the only person to be experiencing this problem?
If you have ASIO4ALL installed, you might need to completely remove it, I’m not sure how you have the config for that setup, if you have that installed.
Sorry, what’s ASIO4ALL?

    Another update.

I first installed Breakaway Dj on my home pc that uses an M Audio 410 soundcard and then into a pair of speakers, not a problem, sounds fantastic. This is what prompted me to buy it for my gig pc.

On my gig pc I have no asio or external soundcard attached, apart from the Bose Tonematch. It is a dual boot system and I have tried to configure Breakaway on both Vista and Xp with identical results as I have detailed in an earlier post.

I have on it ATI HD Audio rear output and Realtek HD Audio output, with both of those I don’t have a problem.

I also have a Sony Viao laptop running Vista and again tried to configure the demo version on it. This also produced the same warning and results.

As a very non techy person I guess for some reason it doesn’t like the Bose Tonematch.
So what happens when you choose to output directly from OtsAV to the Bose T1? Does it work correctly?
Yes, everything is fine.

Update, for some unknown reason the warning has changed to … Error starting audio engine: Core 1: Unable to open "Bose USB Audio" for output at 44100 hz, 2 channels, 16 bits. Device does not support requested format, or sound device is busy.

As I said the Asio is disabled and it seems there is no other option.
More information is required. Are you going from the DJ playback software to Breakaway DJ then Bose T1? This is the correct pathway, but have you made sure the paths are correctly chosen and compatible? Please list your current settings and we’ll see if we can help.
1. Ots audio output set to Line 1 (Breakaway Pipeline)

    2. Breakaway DJ Input – Input 1 Breakaway Pipeline 1
    Input 2 Breakaway Pipeline 2

    3. Breakaway Output – Is where the problem seems to lie … I hit the pull down menu and I choose … Speakers (2 – Bose USB Audio) … When I select that option and press ‘Finish’ I get the warning above.

I have tried with Realtime audio checked and unchecked, plus Asio output is unchecked.

I hope this is enough information.

    Thanks.
