Thanks for looking into this. Unfortunately I am not in the Paris area so recording the original FM transmission will be difficult.

If however someone has a recommendation on how to get this type of stereo image your suggestions would be welcome.

It sounds like there is a lot of expansion in the bass area, how does one achieve this?

    Thanks,

    Hi all,

Would you have any ideas on how to get this sound? The stereo image is quite impressive.

This is Oui FM, a French rock radio:

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks!

[quote author=”Leif”]If no audio drivers are involved, where’s the actual source audio for the stream coming from? All generated on the server itself?

If so, 2008 x64 should theoretically be fine. If it ain’t broken, don’t mess with it 🙂.

That’s correct, the audio is being generated via Stationplaylist on the same server… I shall stick with this 2008-R2-64bits O.S., should I run into problems I will let you guys know. At least there are no 64-bit audio driver in this set-up. 😯

    Thanks

We are setting up a new server with Win 2008 R2-64 bits, no audio drivers are involved since the stream is encoded via edcast. Would you still recommend we dump our current OS and go back to Win 2003 32 bits or at least Win 2008 R2-32 bits? What is the ideal software for a server running Breakaway?

    Thanks

    Hi Lee,

I am quite impressed with the new Celeste preset! Congratulations!

By how much would you recommend turning down the final drive for a Rock webcast?

I see it is still a beta, which part are you looking to alter?

    Cheers!

I’m curious… What can we expect to see in the 0.90.94 release?

    – New Zenith
    – Loud City
    – New Eruption (I remember reading it was too "agressive" on the mid range)
    – ???

Looking forward to this new release! 🙂

    Thanks Jesse,

We are indeed located in Europe. Unfortunately, unless you have gained a bit of reputation labels seem to shun you. We will follow your advice and contact artists or labels now that we gained a bit of traction and convert our collection over time 🙂

PS: Looking forward to the new Motor City setting to become available on the next BBP releases 🙂

I am wondering one thing, does anyone know about Asus Xonar soundcards? A hardware reseller is recommending it to me, but I did not think of Asus up to now…

    Your opinion?

    Adam, Yorkie,

Thank you for your replies, very helpful. One question though, it seems we should be able to use the Livelink plugin to connect to Breakaway directly from StationPlaylist. Would you still go through Pipeline 1 as in input?

Second question, very general one this time. Would we run in any problems running Windows Server 2003 for Breakaway Broadcast or Live?

    Many thanks!
