Wow, thanks for the presets! I’ll probably get stoned for saying this, but I honestly have no idea what kind of sound I’m actually aiming for 😅
The thing is, I love the sound of the Polish station “RMF FM”—I don’t know why, but I think it sounds fantastic!
Also, I broadcast exclusively in Germany, and—believe it or not—there’s a sort of hierarchy regarding sound among stations here. 😅
The signal isn’t allowed to exceed -14 LUFS, it has to be compressed, and heaven forbid you have even 0.1 dB too much high-end.
I don’t really care about all that; since I’m just getting my station off the ground, I’m actually happy to break the mold a bit, if you know what I mean. 😂
Most stations struggle with FM constraints, which is why they all end up with that same generic sound; since I only broadcast via DAB+ and streaming, hopefully it’ll be easier to just go ahead and break those unwritten rules.
Sonically, I really want that RMF FM sound—though not a carbon copy, but rather something with that special touch, or what people always call “your own signature sound.”
That’s where I’d put my full trust in a pro—if I can ever find one! 😂
